About Kathleen McLaughlin
This is the not-often-enough updated personal website of Kathleen E. McLaughlin. I’m an American journalist in Beijing who’s been working in China off and since 1999, when I came here fresh from Montana to buff up the English copy at a state-run newspaper.
My work has been published far and wide, including in the San Francisco Chronicle, Christian Science Monitor, Far Eastern Economic Review and Foreign Policy. Daily, I write for subscription-only news outlets that I can’t post here, specifically BNA (www.BNA.com). I’m also the Beijing correspondent for Women’s Wear Daily (www.wwd.com) and Global Post (www.globalpost.com).
